The International Centre for Infectious Diseases (ICID) has launched a brand new biosafety blog.

From ICID:

"The next 2 years will be the beginning of the "golden age" of biosafety and biosecurity.

Now more than ever, we need to stay up to date regarding issues of biosafety and biosecurity.

The list of issues facing the biosafety and biosecurity community is extensive, as evidenced by the recent ebola and anthrax concerns and changing legislations including the Human Pathogens and Toxins Act.

Everyday there are concerns which we need to be informed about.  Biosafety officers and other biosafety professionals are increasingly being called upon for their expertise and experience to advise and educate.

ICID would like to assist the biosafety community in becoming stronger by gathering and sharing biosafety and biosecurity related information.  It is our vision that a stronger community will assist in bringing more timely responses to incidents both in our own facilities and internationally."
